Crumb Rubber Modified Bitumen Plant is a specialized system designed to blend crumb rubber from recycled tires or other rubber particles with base asphalt to produce high-quality rubber-modified asphalt. By incorporating rubber as a modifier into the base asphalt through processes involving high temperature, additives, and shear mixing, this equipment creates an advanced composite material.

Widely used in road construction and waterproofing projects, it significantly enhances the asphalt's high/low-temperature performance, aging resistance, and durability. Similar to our PMB plant, this unit also uses high-shear technology but adds specialized rubber digestion tanks.

The Crumb Rubber Modified Bitumen Applications:

Road construction: Modified Bitumen can be used in the surface layer, base layer and sub-base layer of the road, which can enhance the durability, stability and anti-aging performance of the road. It can also reduce noise and sticking phenomena, and improve driving safety.

Waterproofing Materials: Modified Bitumen can be used as the base material for waterproofing in basements, underground projects, and roofs. It can also be mixed with materials such as stone paint and fiberglass to achieve better waterproofing effects.

  • Intelligent Control System

    The control system is composed of PLC and industrial computer, featuring both automatic and manual operation modes. Even if the instrument fails, production can still continue. The asphalt pump is controlled by frequency conversion, and the thermal oil is regulated in two ways. Even if the thermal oil furnace operates at a low power level, the asphalt temperature can still be rapidly increased. The thermal oil regulating valve is a dedicated component of our company. It forms a PID control system through PLC, temperature sensors and the thermal oil regulating valve, precisely regulating the rise and fall of asphalt temperature. The modifier adopts static weighing measurement, with higher accuracy than dynamic weighing.

    Reduces the total life cycle cost. Although the initial equipment investment and material costs may be slightly higher, the rubber modified asphalt pavement produced has superior performance (longer service life, fewer maintenance times and costs). From the perspective of the entire life cycle of the road, the economic benefits are significant. The cost of waste rubber powder is usually lower than that of SBS and other polymer modifiers. Especially in large-scale applications, the material cost advantage is more obvious.

  • High Production Efficiency

    Heating asphalt rapidly under an air-sealed condition effectively prevents asphalt from aging. The asphalt level transmitter uses capillary tube to conduct pressure, and the medium can withstand a temperature of up to 200℃. The high-speed stirring process enables the asphalt and the modifier to be fully mixed. The spiral plate heat exchanger rapidly raises the asphalt temperature, ensuring the continuous production throughout the process without the need for batch interval operations. This not only guarantees the stable quality of the modified asphalt but also maintains high production output. The equipment can operate continuously for 24 hours.

  • Modular Design

    The rubber modified asphalt device adopts an integrated design, which is convenient for container transportation; the pipeline layout is reasonable and orderly. Insulation rock wool is added to the asphalt pipeline and the heat exchange oil pipeline. The equipment is easy to install and move, and production can start simply by connecting the pipelines and power supply.
