SINOTO is thrilled to announce the securing of a major contract on October 9, 2025, for the supply and installation of a state-of-the-art 10-tonnes-per-hour (tph) bitumen emulsion plant in Indonesia. Read the full case study to discover how our cutting-edge technology is setting a new standard for efficient and green infrastructure across Southeast Asia.
As a large archipelagic country in the world, Indonesia is experiencing mounting pressure as well as a demand to have strong interconnected infrastructure. It has been reported that there has been a large-scale increase in road construction, repair and maintenance due to the continued attention of the government towards the development of the economy and the connectivity of the region. This quick growth does not only need speed and efficiency, but also a change to more environmentally friendly and sustainable materials. Many of these applications favour bitumen emulsion of high quality, known as cold mix, as the energy consumption is much lower, carbon footprint is lower and the emulsion performs better in mixed climates.
The problem of local contractors though is to obtain a continuous and high rate of supply of a dependable and adaptable scope of bitumen emulsion grades, an establishment channel hindrance that may decelerate large-scale projects.
On October 9, 2025, SINOTO took a major step in consolidating a strategic alliance with a major Indonesian construction and infrastructure company by winning a key contract to build a 10 TPH capacity plant of bitumen emulsion.
As a client that is known to work on national highways, and provincial roads, the solution needed to satisfy three important requirements:
We proposed High-Capacity Bitumen Emulsion Plant which is our flag ship. It is a very purposeful system designed to deal with the complexities of large scale infrastructural projects in problematic tropical climates such as Indonesia.
This 10tph emulsion bitumen plant, to be installed and commissioned, should be a game-changer to the client and the region:
Getting rid of dependence on third-party suppliers, the client will have complete access to the material provision, which is directly converted into the shorter project duration and fewer delays in logistics.
The large production of emulsified bitumen in-house will result in cost-saving in the purchase of the materials, transportation, and energy consumption by a large percentage.
The extensive adoption of the cold-mix technology will also synchronize the operations of the client with the international best practices of a sustainable road construction to minimize the energy intensity of the infrastructure development in Indonesia.
The achievement of this contract also goes a long way to affirm the status of SINOTO as one of the international leaders and reliable partners in the provision of high-capacity asphalt and bitumen solutions to support the development of major infrastructures in southeast Asia. We are optimistic about a successful commissioning and a long-lasting relationship that would keep on creating better and stronger roads in Indonesia.
